about

Dweller is back with more Hip Hop with 'Nostalgia' which he promises to be his most articulate venture yet. Dweller has gone back to his roots and has compiled this collection of jazz-infused,Sample-heavy, 1990's inspired brand of Hip Hop, combined with his trademark intricate and often tongue-in-cheek rap vocals.

about

Dweller Manchester, UK

30 year old Dweller (real name Al English) has been making music in one shape or form since he discovered the tambourine cupboard in primary school.

He has been known to put his hand to many different genres of music over the years, but Hip Hop is without a doubt his favourite corner of the musical map.

Verse 1

Spit a bar just to mark out my territory,
Up in front but the mood stays melancholy,
On my own there aint no-one in my category,
Painting colours with the words, mainly black or orange
Trying to see if i'm a shadow of my former self,
But that is life when you live inside a tortoise shell,
In my mind in the North West's Orson Welles
Your a fake lippy spitter number four chanel,
Crank the decibels, mess with the equaliser,
do it solitary, can't stand when people mither,
Always buried in my books trying to be the writer,
Got a strong moral code like a freedom fighter,
Tried living in the noise like a city dweller,
Better sticking to the sticks I'm a simple fella,
Sick of miserable faces and fickle weather,
Truly hoping for more I envisioned better
I envisioned better,

Verse 2

Im'a build up the drums then I flip the sample,
I was living in the dark until I lit a candle,
Best beware its a jungle out there mate
Grit your teeth gotta fight for some airplay

Drop the attitude, cold stares when I drive through the avenue,
No mither don't rhyme for the gratitude,
The old timer, I'm due to be married soon
Ain't semi-pro like Jackie Moon,
Writing? I can't stop it,
Got the scrunched up rhymes in the back pocket,
Iv'e been gone for a while now, i'm back on it,
Plug the mic lead in through the jack socket,
Reverb and compression on the side chain,
Build a beat till I'm effin with the migraine,
Many styles I incorporate a wide range,
Scribble bars that will showcase my mindstate,
I envisioned better
